personalized attention... Gourmet Retreats at CasaLana offers a variety of options in classes making it easier to fit a class into your schedule. Classes range in length from 5 hours to 5 full days and are geared to avid home cooks and food enthusiasts. The hands-on cooking classes are taught in CasaLana’s professionally equipped kitchen and enrollment is limited to 8 participants. The small, intimate class size provides students personalized attention and one-on-one instruction. All classes include printed recipe handouts and a generous sampling or meal of the food prepared served with wine/beverage. Knives, tools and equipment are provided. Lana Richardson, the owner and operator of CasaLana and Gourmet Retreats, facilitates the classes. Lana is a top honor graduate of the California Culinary Academy and continues her professional education at the Culinary Institute of America, Greystone campus. Lana also has many years of experience in catering, business and customer education. Cindy Race is the chef instructor for many of the hands-on classes. Cindy has extensive experience in the restaurant industry and a true passion for teaching. Instructors from the Guest Chef program also teach some classes at CasaLana.
